Last but not the end
I wish there had been more guidance or actual classes for some of the explorations. I often felt under the gun to get through a session, and although I might want to take more time with it, the time was used up trying to figure things out, making mistakes, learning how to delete off the blog and then repost. If someone shows me how to do something, I pick it up easily. But teaching myself, especially when the computer at work might be very slow, is frustrating.
Some of the staff blogs are wonderful. They are beautiful to look at and easy to read. I think that many of these staff probably have been blogging before, or use their free time to do so. It would be to the system's advantage to tap some of that talent/interest to design some of what we offer the public or for our intranet. We have so many talented and interesting staff!

Workblog1
I haven't signed up for an account, but used my gmail account for my blog. This will allow me to not have another login/password to remember! Of course, it may end up that I won't be able to figure out how to save this document, get back to it, share it and all that. I would welcome the chance to use some of this new web 2.0 experience in a real collaborative setting, however, I'm not sure when I would have time! I read in the newspaper this morning how only 4% of internet users actually read blogs. The author's conclusion was that bloggers by and large are having conversations with themselves! I talk to myself sometimes so that makes sense, but I do it so low tech that it doesn't take half the time! LOL

I can see that this would be useful when a patron has no way to save a document. And it's very easy to use. However, if the information is in the least sensitive, I'd be wary of using it. I'm going to see if the document is "saved" online even though I logged in with my gmail account, and if that works, then it is more useful. I also need to say that it is a heck of a lot easier than the blogger.com!
